Today would have been my mother's 90th birthday. Here's a card her six-year old cousin Mildred Williamson (later Campbell) sent Mom to commemorate her fifth birthday in 1922.
Mildred was no more than six years old, and there she was, writing in cursive, with all the words spelled right. She and my mom lived across the road from each other. They must have felt so grown up sending and receiving mail.

I think it's such a sweet card and just so interesting the way her script seems to be carried on ocean swells.
