Basswood Flowers

The basswood tree has has been in full bloom this week. I wonder if Coleridge's lime tree smelled this sweet?

Hi, Rebecca! I've aways liked basswood flowers -- they're so creamy and aromatic.

I have good memories of a photo session a couple of summers ago. I was perched precariously on a stepladder, waiting for the breeze to die down as bees eagerly worked over the basswood blossoms...
