Sweet Violets

White Violet

Dorothy Parker was my childhood idol, which perhaps tells you more about me than I would willingly reveal. I never see violets without thinking of her poem:

Sweet Violets

You are brief and frail and blue--
Little sisters, I am too.
You are Heaven's masterpieces--
Little loves, the likeness ceases.
Another White Violet
