It's snowing again today, and the sumac buds are tight shut still.
Like other smooth-barked tree species here, the sumacs have lots of lovely lichens.
those are lovely lichens! I'm always fascinated by them!
Lichens seem not to mind winter's cold, but love its moisture.
I like the hairy branch in the first photo.
