Six-Legged Spider
All
insects have six legs, but not everything with six legs is an insect.
This spider on my clothesline post appears on the verge of reproductive
success despite the loss of a couple of legs.
Hi, Paul, Thanks for visiting! I use a macro lens, so at highest magnification, I'm eight inches from the subject. I don't worry about them jumping on me; the problem is the reverse--getting a picture before the critter runs or flies away.
Do you zoom in or are you really that close? Won't they jump on you? Great picture by the way.
